If each piece of the system is not up to par, it is not going to clamp down and stop the car like it’s supposed to. But what separates a computer system from a brake system is that if your brakes don’t work, you ain’t gon’ be driving your car.

Reply Smoke February 16, at It is sad that you have to pay for a bill of sale and on top of that to call them every month just to see what is going on, and trust me there were a lot of phone calls. On Saturday the 3rd, I assembled the clutch pedals to their support bracket using new bushings and grease. I also installed the original clutch neutral safety switch. The switch, which I had originally thought to be inoperative, was easily fixed after I realized it came apart. A simple cleaning of the four brass contacts got the switch up and running again.

My General Lee build May 04, , This was a pretty quick process so the documentation leaves a little to be desired but I’ll do my best. I’ll also be sure to update this since I keep making a few tweaks here and there. Rewind back to Ironically enough, I knew the guy who had the car for sale but didn’t even realize that he owned a Charger.
If I remember correctly, he bought the car in the late 90’s and drove it on and off for a few years, it even served as his daily driver for a while. All in all though, he only put a few thousand miles on it. The car originally came from Alaska and was never driven much.

June 1, rmcmanamy Leave a comment After looking at a few around Phoenix, then down to Tucson, back to Phoenix, and off to Lake Havasu City we finally ended up with our first camper, a Lakewood Canned Ham. It was August of and I swear it must have been in Lake Havasu city but it was late in the day so we decided to pull it home with the Murano.
It was a long day to say the least but well worth it in the end. From what my memory serves me the camper was owned by the previous family for 16 or 17 years and always kept under a carport. Our original intention was to just use it. She was right in that it feels much better with the white inside and overall it turned out awesome.

I spent some time on-line exchanging e-mail and forum comments with a couple of friends. I was looking for personal experiences from those that had put in a valve to reduce the rear brake pressure and thus, the rear brake lockup. Within 24 hours, I had the first hand information I was looking for. The colored arrow in the above picture is pointing to the brake line connection on the combination valve that goes to the rear axle on the TJ.
This is the line that will be removed from the combination valve. A Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve, model , was purchased on-line I obtained mine from www.

What can I do to cure this? Answer The most common cause of a stumble is not having an adequate accelerator pump shot. The first thing to do is to look at the discharge nozzle and make sure you are getting a good strong pump shot. If not then you need to inspect the pump diaphragm for a hole or tear.
This water dispenser is absolutely amazing and worth every penny. First off it is beautiful! It as compact as possible for what it performs and even though it claims some counter space it doesn’t take up nearly as much space as full size water cooler.
May 15 20 hours ago, swathdiver said: That was pretty smart Jim, to install the more capable hitch and it looks original too. The truck will ride nicer once those Bridgestones are gone and probably like your old one, it rides better with some weight in the back. Even my Yukon XL has a smoother ride with some weight in back. If those are LR E, the air pressure is 50 up front and 60 in the rear if my memory is correct. You could drop 5psi in the rear and be pounds under your rear axle’s max capacity for a better ride too.
The ride would certainly suffer too. Unless you went with a larger tire and then you’re gearing would need to be addressed! I reckon good pads and new rotors and making sure the hydroboost is in top form will keep her stopping well.

This is assuming you are going to T the low pressure return instead of buying a new pump. If you get the new pump just plumb the return to that fitting instead of T’ing it. Unbolt the master cylinder from the vacuum booster unit with the 2 screws on the side. They are 15mm I think.
Mar 11, · I reckon good pads and new rotors and making sure the hydroboost is in top form will keep her stopping well. Also check with Bill, InTheBurbs, about the brake upgrade. He’s still active on these forums and if anyone knows about brakes for the , he does.
That is such a good looking ride. I’d like to add intermittent wipers to my ’77 also. They weren’t a factory option untill ’78 or ‘ Did you just swap in the switch and module? Do you know what year the intermitent stuff came from? Did it plug right into the existing harness? I wasnt sure if the harness plug for the wipers would be the same for the later models. Thanks, sappy76 , The Skyjackers springs are pretty soft and both the s and the Hydros were too soft for the freeway and the backroads, however they were good for offroad.
I haven’t driven above 60mph yet, but I do air them up to the max for the back roads and it helps to keep the body sway down. I swapped the wiring harness out during the build. I used a ’79 cherokee harness that uses ADO fuses instead of the glass ones. It also allowed for the intermittent wiper. I used the 79 motor as well and I had to mod the mounting bracket and if I recall it was a pain since I had to pull the mounting plate out of the 79 and weld it to the inside.
I originally had 4 wheel drum brakes and knew I needed to do something different. Click here for that write up. That was a major improvement. But I wanted more braking power. Next I converted the rear drum brakes to Cadillac disc brakes using a kit from Jeff’s Broncograveyard.
