Within a 10 minute walk of the park is the historical market town of Garstang which offers a variety of friendly pubs, providing both local brews and some excellent food, for something different, three restaurants providing some continental cuisine, Italian, English and Chinese.

The parks situation provides easy communications and drive times to some of the most popular areas in the country, the Lake District is 40 mins, North Yorkshire Moors are 50 mins, the top UK resort of Blackpool is 25 mins, Manchester’s Trafford Park Shopping Centre is 1 hr, Liverpool’s waterfront area’s and cultural attractions are approximately 1 hr 10 min.
